Mr. Normand Provost has been Executive Vice-President, Private Equity, at the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec since October 2003. In this capacity, he oversees a team of private equity professionals, ensuring they share their expertise with each other and with partner companies.

Using a management approach that involves leveraging the group’s major partnerships locally and abroad, Mr. Provost has developed a solid reputation as a network builder due to his appeal.

Background
Normand Provost has extensive experience in private equity, especially as it applies to the Caisse, which he joined in 1980. He has since held several positions ranging from Advisor and Manager, Investments in midsize businesses, to President, CDP Capital – Americas, from 1995 to 2003.

Connections
Mr. Provost pursues a twofold personal objective of helping tailor university programs to better meet the needs of the investment sector, and thus provide tomorrow’s managers with a more appropriate skill set.
