A Team Working for Depositors

The Depositors and Risks team represents the Caisse’s clients within the institution. This team implements a series of measures and actions to strengthen and maintain a confidence-based relationship between the Caisse and its clients. It is also responsible for making sure the Caisse has sound risk management as well as for measuring and analyzing performance based on recognized standards. 

• Its responsibilities mainly involve:
• Reporting to depositors;
• Risk management;
• Performance measurement and analysis;
• The Caisse’s annual and three-year planning.

Ongoing Exchanges
Under the service agreements established with each of the depositors, the Caisse provides investment advisory and fund management services. The Caisse also organizes regular meetings and produces personalized reports to keep its depositors informed.

In addition, the role of the Depositors and Risks team is to:

• Act as a link with each depositor and report to them on the Caisse’s fund management activities;
• Ensure the proper framework for risk management and conduct performance measurement and analysis;
• Support the Board of Directors and Executive Committee with regard to the Caisse’s annual and three-year planning.

High-Calibre Expertise
The responsibilities of the Depositors and Risks team cover three fields of expertise.

• Depositors and Strategic Initiatives
  Acts as a link with depositors in terms of reporting, financial training and communication. Provides a framework for planning the Caisse’s strategies in accordance with the depositors’ priorities.
• Risk Management
  Establishes a framework for managing the different types of risk: financial, operational and business. The risk management experts offer advisory services, tools and training to the Caisse’s portfolio managers. They also advise Management and the Board of Directors and inform depositors in this regard.
• Performance Measurement and Analysis
  The team is responsible for the measurement, analysis and presentation of the returns on the Caisse’s portfolios and the funds held by depositors.
