A Framework Supporting the Caisse’s Operations
The Caisse has developed a series of policies to define the manner in which it operates and fulfills its obligations. These policies, which cover all aspects of its profession as an investor as well as various administrative items are central to providing employees and officers with a framework for the day-to-day management of the Caisse.

1. Policy on Contracts for the Acquisition or Leasing of Goods and Services (PDF) 
Describes the process for the purchase or lease of goods and services which require a contract as well as any limitations or parameters for exceptions to the policy. Also contains the rules for awarding a contract through a request for proposals as well as supplier selection criteria.
2. Financial Certification Policy (PDF) 
Is aimed at maintaining internal financial controls as well as controls for the release of information, in order to produce and issue, within the required deadlines, reliable, complete information which accurately reflects the Caisse’s financial position.
3. Information Disclosure Policy (PDF) 
Outlines the rules governing the release of information on the Caisse, including financial data. Deals with confidentiality and sets the rules for achieving the proper balance between the Caisse’s desire for transparency and its obligation to protect information reserved for certain specific parties such as its depositors or business partners. Also provides a framework for dealing with sensitive information, for instance when circulating this information could have a negative impact on the value of a particular stock or financial or investment transaction.
4. Policy on Socially Responsible Investment (PDF) 
Explains the importance of ethical, social and environmental considerations in the Caisse’s investment decisions. Is based on the principles of respect for fundamental rights and freedoms, protection of the environment and respect for the rights of workers and the local communities where companies of which the Caisse is a shareholder carry out their activities. Takes into account these companies’ governance and information disclosure principles.
5. Policy on the Principles Governing the Exercise of Voting Rights of Public Companies (PDF) 
Describes the Caisse’s responsibilities when exercising its voting rights at the shareholders’ meetings of the companies in which it invests
6. Policy Applicable to Private Equity Sector Investments with Respect to the Holding of More than 30% of a Company’s Common Shares (PDF) 
Establishes the conditions under which the Caisse is entitled to acquire over 30% of a company’s common shares in the case of a private investment.
7. Service Policy for Enterprises, Partners and Clients (PDF) 
Deals with the Caisse’s legal and ethical obligations towards all the parties with which it enters into agreements.
